What is the COVID vaccine certificate?
The COVID vaccination certificate/card certifies that you have received one or both doses of any vaccine that has been licensed in the country.
The certificate shows whether you have gotten a COVID-19 vaccine dosage or are completely vaccinated, which means you have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and have finished 28 days following the second dose.
It also reveals which vaccines were administered, when, and at which immunization center.
How to get the vaccination certificate in the UAE?
You will get the vaccination certificate in UAE through the Al Hosn app. The Al Hosn app, which will serve as the UAE’s national COVID vaccine registry, now allows Emiratis to download their immunization card.
You may also use the app to download and send official immunization reports in PDF format through email or text message. On official letterheads, the information is given in both English and Arabic.

Those who have received vaccination injections at a Dubai Health Authority health clinic can download the DHA app and check in using their MRN number. Then follow the same steps to download the certificate by clicking on the Covid-19 immunization card.

Abu Dhabi
On June 28, the emirate declared that, from August 20, 2021, only vaccinated persons would be allowed to enter specific public areas. Unvaccinated people will only be permitted if they have a vaccine exemption that has been approved and recorded on the AlHosn app, or if they are under the age of 15.
Shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, and other retail outlets (except pharmacies and supermarkets) are covered in the first phase, as are gyms, recreational facilities, and sporting activities, health clubs, resorts, museums, cultural centers, and theme parks, as well as universities, institutes, public and private schools, and children’s nurseries.
Furthermore, if you come into touch with a COVID-19 patient, vaccinated Emiratis only need to stay at home for 5 days, but unvaccinated individuals must stay at home for 10 days.
School only for vaccinated students
Beginning August 20, children aged 16 and up must be properly vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to attend Abu Dhabi schools.
According to the regulations, all students aged 16 and above, as well as employees and guests, must be properly vaccinated with a UAE-approved vaccination before entering the school, whether during or after school hours. The Al Hosn app now includes a new key feature in the shape of a color-coded system for indicating immunization status and validity. This follows the government’s recent statement that only vaccinated people would be allowed to attend live events.
The emirate of Abu Dhabi has also recently approved the use of the Al Hosn app’s green pass as a requirement for entrance into a variety of public places. Shopping malls, hotels, public parks, and beaches, as well as entertainment facilities such as theatres, museums, restaurants, and cafés, will all be accessible with the green pass.
Hassle-free travel
Several nations across the world have opened their borders to fully vaccinated visitors, even letting them skip quarantine.
The United Arab Emirates and Serbia have agreed to establish a quarantine-free transit corridor for properly vaccinated individuals. Those possessing Covid vaccine certificate granted by health authorities in the two nations as of May 15 will be able to travel without having to comply with health quarantine procedures upon arrival. Citizens and expatriate residents who want to take advantage of the quarantine exemption must produce proof that they have had the last Covid-19 vaccination injection.
To facilitate travel between the UAE and Greece, a comparable safe travel lane was created for fully vaccinated travelers.
