FCAW Welder(6G, 6GR)

Primary purpose of the job :

Flux cored arc welding (FCAW), also know as dual shield welding, is a semi-automatic arc welding process that is similar to metal active gas (MAG) welding.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• As an FCAW Code Welder you will be responsible for being proficient in the FCAW process to weld various components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Welds according to the company’s engineering specification on process piping, equipment, and structural steel.
• Prepared broken parts for welding by properly grooving and scarfing surfaces. Positioned and clamped workpieces together and properly assembled them in jigs
• Candidates must be able to perform lay out, fabrication and welding of piping systems. Assemble, install, and repair.
• Welder responsibilities include: · Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures determining the appropriate welding.
• Welding and assemble parts of the ship markings and fit up Knowledge in reading planned projects and designs.
• Performed construction and repair operations of ship components.
• Determined layout for welding operations.
• Operated cutting tools including torch in.
• Utilized various welding machines to maintain metal equipment and structures and frameworks of multiple dimensions and sizes.                                                                                                                                                                          Experience, Knowledge and skills :

Educational Qualifications:  Middle level required

Relevant Work Experience:  Must be working in FCAW 6G/6GR, FCAW FILL/CAP E71T.1 1.2MM
